Tina was selected for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games as a spare and due to illness within the crew raced in the women’s eight for the final where they finished 5th. She is currently training in the senior women’s squad.
She represented GB at the World U23 Championships in 2008, 2007 and 2006. In 2008 she raced in the single scull winning a silver medal, in 2007 and 2006 she raced in the women’s quadruple scull, winning a bronze and silver medal respectively.
Tina has also represented Great Britain at junior level, winning bronze in the junior women’s quadruple scull at the World Junior Championships in 2005, the previous year she finished 9th in the women’s double scull.
Tina started rowing at Tees Rowing Club in 2003 but only started competing seriously after moving to St Peter’s School. She was influenced by her brother, who also rowed at school.
In 2006 she was a bronze medallist at the British Indoor Rowing Championships at Under 23 level. Tina is a two time National Schools Regatta gold medallist, in 2004 in the women’s single scull and in 2005 in the women’s double scull.
She is currently taking a degree in Nutrition at the University of Nottingham.
